This webinar aims to initiate a dialogue addressing the challenges associated with adhering to research ethics best practices, focusing particularly on the protection of user data and pseudonymisation. Performing research in accordance with ethical best practices is a high priority for projects large and small, and is of particular importance within those many projects where human beings are directly engaged, as research subjects, for the co-creation and validation of results, or as participants in project events. Unfortunately, however, the codes and rules for ethical best practice often don’t seem to fit easily with the goals, audiences, contexts, or resources of many transnational, multi-partner projects, such as those funded by the European Horizon programme.
