Purpose
The purpose of this event is to facilitate collaborative discussions on the critical role of public-private partnerships in fostering innovation within the European AI landscape. By bringing together leaders from various regional AI ecosystems, the event aims to:
- Promote and explore the potential of public-private partnerships to advance AI innovation in Europe.
- Discuss best practices from different AI ecosystems across the continent.

Session 1 - Mapping Europe's AI Ecosystems
Participants will get an overview of Europe's AI Landscape from the point of view of Adra and Adra-e.
Session 2 - Public-Private Partnerships in AI
This session aims to highlight best practices (ICAI, FCAI, ELLIS) from different regional ecosystems across Europe and showcase the potential public private partnerships between industry and academia.
Workshop 1: Nurturing AI Start-ups and SMEs (25 people)
The aim of this workshop is to encourage discussions on supporting AI entrepreneurship and innovation. The facilitator will provide insights on the points that should be considered on bringing their AI invention from research to the market through the creation of spin-offs. From assessing ideas for viability to provide a guide throughout the process to ensure they are prepared for investor interactions. The journey from conceptualization to an investor-ready startup often involves market research, seeking proof-of-concept funding, crafting a strategic business plan, and drafting various contracts.
Workshop 2: Ethical Considerations in AI Development (25 people)
This workshop delves into the intricate landscape of AI development, emphasizing the paramount role of ethics in shaping the future of technology.
Participants will explore the ethical dilemmas, biases, and transparency challenges that AI developers face, equipping them with essential insights for responsible innovation. Join the worksop to navigate the moral compass of AI, fostering a culture of accountability and inclusivity in the world of artificial intelligence.
Panel Discussion - Funding AI Innovation through Public-Private Partnerships
In this engaging panel discussion will include leading experts from Digital Innovation Hubs, Industry and government and will convene to dissect the pivotal role of public-private partnerships in funding AI innovation. They will share insights and experiences on how these collaborations can drive technological advancement, foster economic growth, and promote the responsible development of AI solutions.
Interactive discussion: AI Ecosystem collaboration
The idea of this session is that with a few (3) Lightning Talks where we invite a few pre-selected speakers to provide brief (5-minute) presentations on successful AI collaboration projects, challenges faced, and lessons learned we give an insight on the importance of building strong partnerships. These speakers should represent various sectors, such as academia, industry, government, and startups. Then we have an open discussion, where participants can share their thoughts, questions, and ideas about AI ecosystem collaboration.
